Welcome to The Forge

Will Maguire is a contemporary blacksmith and sculptor. Working with hot steel, forging and manipulating it, striving to create forms that are beautiful, genuine and new.

Based in the beautiful surrounds of New South Wales Hunter Valley he is a one of very few contemporary blacksmiths in Australia utilising contemporary design and traditional skills learnt from masters overseas.

Working in steel as well as stainless steel, brass, bronze and timber Will specialises in:

Architectural design works – Gates and stair railings transforming your property into a truly pleasurable living space.

Public Art – Interesting, though provoking public art designed for specific locations.

Interior design works – Original tables and lighting making your home or office memorable and enjoyable.

Sculpture and wall sculpture – bringing some life to dreary places.

Individual commissions – turning your creative ideas into a lasting legacy

In Australia contemporary design in forged ironwork is a new exciting take on the blacksmiths trade. This is your chance to support the vanguard of this vibrant transformation of an age old craft. It is ideally suited to practical and sculptural applications with its tactility, strength, freedom in design and durability.

Be part of it and have Will create some iron with personality for you.
