About the event
This is a beginners workshop for those curious about blacksmithing and interested in creative uses of the craft. You will be guided through the processes of forging steel hot with hammer and anvil to transform it into a small bell with a beautiful tinkling sound.
This will be a small group session where we will be helping each other out to each successfully complete the project.
The workshop includes all materials and fuels and your work is of course yours to keep. Safety glasses, ear protection and gloves are provided (you may also bring your own if you prefer).
You will need to wear durable closed in shoes, durable long pants and long sleeve shirt that can get a bit grubby.
A reasonable level of health and fitness is needed as you will be doing physical activity in a hot environment, its a good idea to bring a water bottle.
